Maya-Waters of Joy
Element: Water | Series: Elemental Truths
“Maya – Waters of Joy” dances on the delicate threshold between beauty and illusion. Joy, like water, glitters enticingly on the surface, yet beneath its luminous shimmer lie deeper, often overlooked truths.
Rooted in the Sanskrit concept of Maya, the grand illusion that obscures the essence of reality, this piece invites viewers to immerse themselves in the paradox of perception. Through fluid, flowing forms, it evokes the elemental beauty of water, only to reveal how appearances can be deceptively serene.
What first appears as joy in motion may, upon reflection, be a mirage- an echo of something far more profound, obscured by the limitations of our senses. Maya gently challenges the viewer to peel back the surface, unraveling the layers between appearance and essence, pleasure and peace, moment and eternity.
It is a meditation on the irony of how the beautiful often conceals the impermanent, and how, in seeking the eternal, we must look beyond the fleeting.
This work implores its viewers to pierce the veil, not to reject beauty, but to transcend it, discovering joy not born from fleeting pleasures but as an ecstatic reverberation of life experienced in wholeness.
Essence: Flexibility, Depth, Healing, Surrender
Mantra: "I flow with grace. I feel deeply. I transform."
The waters of Maya offer a quiet blessing: may you find lasting joy not in illusion, but in presence, connection, and the deep peace of purpose.

“Maya – Waters of Joy” is an ode to the fluidity of emotion, transformation, and intuition – the sacred essence of Water.
This artwork was exhibited as part of the ELEMENTS juried collection at Stella’s Art Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, USA (April 2025), a powerful exhibition dedicated to exploring the nature of the elements and art.
