  • Academic research grant winner, New age incubation network, NMAMIT, sponsored by the Government of Karnataka, India.

  • Ms. Ragini Ashok and her team were selected for the Entrepreneurship workshop conducted by the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE)-BEST India 2015 sponsored by Dept. of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India on 31st Oct – 3rd Nov 2015 held at Bengaluru. Their final year project titled “Development of Bioadsorbents for the Removal of Toxicants from Contaminated Water” was selected for presentation. This project is guided by Dr. C. Vaman Rao, Professor & Head and Dr. Anilkumar H. S, Associate Professor.

  • The final year project titled “Development of Bioadsorbents for the Removal of Toxicants from Contaminated Water” carried out by Ms. Jane Maureen, Ms. Ragini Ashok and Ms. Saharika Singh were presented for Innovation Festival 2015 organized by Visveswaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru sponsored by National Council of Science Museum, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The program was held on 20th – 21st Nov 2015. This project is guided by Dr. C. Vaman Rao, Professor & Head and Dr. Anilkumar H. S, Associate Professor.

  • Ms. Ragini Ashok and her team presented a poster titled “Development of bio-adsorbents for the removal of toxicants from effluents” at “SYMBIOT 16” a National level Symposium organized by Dept. of Biotechnology, Manipal Institute of Technology in collaboration with the Institute of Engineers-Biotechnology Chapter on April 8 – 9 2016. The project was guided by Dr. Anil Kumar, H. S, Assoc. Prof. and Dr. C. Vaman Rao, Professor and Head.

  • Attended State Level Hackathon -2014, in association with National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and KITS conducted on 29th & 30th September 2014 at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. The main objective of this entrepreneurship boot camp was to “Groom students on Entrepreneurship”. I was a part of The 120 students from 4 different colleges (NIE-Mysore, JNNCE-Shivamogga, SIT- Tumkur, NMAMIT-Nitte) who were given opportunities to attend 2 days Hackathon workshop. The 60 teams were given information on preparing business proposals and raising funds for technology-based ventures successfully commercializing innovation, build business models that will turn prototypes into products.
